Inauguration of Dubai’s metro extension work in view of the 2020 Expo.

On October 24, 2017, the works for the extension of Dubai’s urban metro were inaugurated in view of the dictated needs of the mega incoming event: Dubai Expo 2020.
The excavation site were personally inaugurated by His Majesty, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Project managers assure that the metro will be terminated and operative before the opening of Expo in 2020.
The route to the Expo 2020 site involves Discovery
- Gardens
- Green Community
- Dubai Investment Park
The extension includes the construction of new 15 km for Dubai’s red line up to the Expo 2020 Site.
The extension will add 7 new stops to those already in the red line.
