Competition is fierce. A selection of the most iconic Dubai hotels will inevitably leave way too many out of the list. Dubai’s major card is that of offering large spaces jointed with the traditional Arab hospitality. Among the extravaganzas endless will do the jobs. On the other hand, Dubai is currently investing in high quality luxurious and elegant receptive accommodations. When it comes to fashionable ones, you can only start with the Armani Hotel where every detail bears the fashion designer’s mark from its furniture to the objects in the bathroom. In 2014 another Italian designer offered the occasion for a new palazzo, Palazzo Versace that includes among its amenities a chilled sand beach and 1000 square meters of wellness and spa spaces.

Luxury and innovation is a must but history plays its part too. The XVA Art Hotel furnished by the well-known Egyptian architect Karim Rashid and the Lebanese designer Nada Debs is one of the most interesting for its interiors and includes a gallery, a café and a boutique. All these spaces are disguised within an old mansion whose labyrinth interiors resembles an urban Arab souk. The Vida Downtown offers a contemporary refurbishment where once stood an old and smaller version of it. Obviously, the Park Hyatt remains a classic, with its Moorish exteriors, blue cupolas, tiles and greenery and constitutes an exotic experience for those who want a touch of glamour.
